Late summer through early fall is when the wasps start to get aggressive.  We take what we do very seriously, we protect ourselves in bee suits and we are very careful about what we do.  The interesting thing about this job is that this wasp nest was in the porch column – and is a lot larger than it looks.  The funny part of this story was… We arrive onsite, talk to the homeowner, put on the bee suit and get to work.  Then, out of nowhere this pug shows up.  Walks through like he is the supervisor of this operation.  He sticks around until we complete the treatment, and then leaves.  Personally, I think this pug was with OSHA.
